What is the BEST thing you have learned from Weight Watchers ?
we have asked the members and here’s their thoughts:
Elsa Roman Mendez
“It’s not a diet, you learn to eat healthy, you learn to read labels, packages, calories, etc. you learn that a little exercise is ok as long as you eat healthy.”
Caitlin Hall
“If you want to lose the weight effectively and permanently…. Lose it slowly. Don’t make yourself miserable, and don’t punish yourself when you screw up. Just keep tracking your food and get some exercise.”
LaVista Benson
“I have learned that the food considered to be great lifestyle choices can still be abused. I have changed portion size and don’t neglect the “little” things. I’m not a junk food eater so it has always been hard for me because I have always felt like I’ve made good choices but choosing 1 egg instead of two, and measuring the cheese rather than guessing, or omitting the bread has made me more aware.”
Nicole Paro Tarnowski
“That once you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything? Best of luck!”
Hildie Kelani Lefler
“Mindless eating was a terrible habit I didn’t know I had.”
Cindylou Lawson
“This is not a diet, it’s a conscious lifestyle change being cognizant of what you are putting into your body and the difference of how you feel and the increase in better health and energy.”
Elizebeth Juarez Ybarra
“I’ve learned I’m not alone with my struggles, I have good days, bad days. It’s for a healthier lifestyle, and you can share that and pass it on to your family and friends.”
Jenni Wagner
“That you don’t have to deprive yourself of the foods you love to lose weight. I’ve never once felt deprived of anything. I still eat pizza, Mac and cheese, ice cream and I’ve been consistently losing.”
Dee Firkus
“Tracking is main key..keeps you accountable what you are putting in your mouth”
Lynn Clark
“This is my new way of life and I can do it!”
Chantal Yu
“In my opinion, WW is the only way to go. It’s a formula that works when followed. Even if you are a person with very limited mobility (like me) you can still attain goal weight. It’s a safe program and since you can eat ANYTHING (so long as you account for the Points) you won’t feel deprived. And I agree with other posts above, that the program truly is an eye opener. I look at WW as a budget … for food. If I have this, then I can’t have that. We can never have it all, and for me thinking or acting like I could all of these years, had brought me to an unhealthy weight.”
Linda Danielson Beavers
“Eating healthy, being satiated and losing weight can all work together!”
Brenda Wood Sweatman
“I’m not alone on this journey”
Danielle DiTomasso
“I learned that I don’t need as much food to be full as I think I do…retraining my eyes to not be bigger than my stomach is probably the coolest and most interesting thing…and learning the difference between truly being hungry, and being bored, and being full and to stop eating…gaining control is really powerful”
Rosemarie Gregory Buckner
“Consistency! Go to meeting for motivation!”
Angela Vega That it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle change. You can eat whatever you want in moderation. If it goes in your smacker, it goes on your tracker.
Robin Wenger
“I learned that I have a habit of eating a lot of crap that I don’t really need. If I stick to the plan, it works. Mindless eating wastes points!”
Nancy Wellmon
“A day is only day. If you have a bad one their are 6 others to count for your weigh on.”
